Interview: “Understanding the ecosystem of Lake Constance and all of its processes and functions”

The influence of various factors on the ecosystem of Lake Constance and its resilience is the main focus of two mutually informative and wide-ranging research projects that are currently in progress.

In an interview in the publication “Aqua & Gas”, project leader Piet Spaak talks about his project entitled “SeeWandel: Life in Lake Constance — yesterday, today and tomorrow”. He outlines the aims of the project and the various research questions it tackles, along with the initial findings on the subjects of nutrients, climate change, quagga mussels, stickleback and more.
