Intern Fish Movement

Department Fish Ecology & Evolution

About Me

I am currently a second year student of the masters Aquaculture and Marine Resource Management, Wageningen University, The Netherlands. As part of my masters' program, I am doing an internship within the River Fish Ecology group, focusing on the 'Climate change and fish movement patterns' project, specifically, the construction of an acoustic receiver network in the Swiss Rhine-Aare basin.

The main focus of my internship lies with the preparation of the fieldwork and the installations of the acoustic network itself, while also participating in other activities within, and outside of said project. Including, but not limited to GIS work, assessment of installation sites, assisting in maintenance of PIT tag antennas in Lake Lucerne tributaries and Heron colony tracking.
