Water timeline
The water timeline visualises the eventful history of Swiss water protection over the last 200 years with around 200 milestones in image, text and sound.
An interactive map can be used to explore the findings of the Research program Hydraulic Engineering & Ecology, as well as the scientific basis for the sustainable management of watercourses.
With the help on an online identification key, experts and interested laypersons can identify amphipod species themselves (in German, French and Italian).
The research laboratory LéXPLORE has been floating on the Lake of Geneva since 2019. Interested members of the public can take a virtual tour of the platform and find out more about instruments, data collected, research projects and the objectives of LéXPLORE.
The Water Hub is located in the basement of the NEST research and innovation building of Empa and Eawag. Here, wastewater is not considered a waste product, but s source of nutrients, water and energy; it is also the subject of research.
