About Me

I am a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Eberhard Morgenroth. I am developing real-time monitoring of water contaminants using fluorescence spectroscopy, with a special focus on water treatment systems. My research covers the field testing of fluorometers/fluorescence sensors and the development of fluorescence signal interpretation models. Working at the interface of multiple subjects, I am also interested in integrating the mechanistic understanding of fluorescence measurement with machine learning in fluorescence signal analysis. The ultimate goal of my PhD research is to establish a fast, informative, and robust method for real-time monitoring and optimization of water treatment systems using fluorescence spectroscopy.
