Study on beverage consumption

Project description

The consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages can adversely affect personal health (for example overweight, caries). Additionally, sugar-sweetened beverages are often consumed in plastic bottles, which burdens the environment. Switching to tap water or plain tea are healthier and more sustainable alternatives. However, despite the advantages of reducing sugar-sweetened beverage consumption, this can be difficult in daily life. This is why our smartphone-based study investigates strategies to support people in consuming fewer sugar-sweetened beverages, and thus to lead a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle.
