A total of 28 short and concise presentations, arranged by major climate zones were presented on the loosely integrated theme "From genes, traits and functions to species diversity in contrasting climate zones". The occasion offered a wonderful platform for lively discussions on differences and similarities of ecological and evolutionary dynamics in the major climate zones. This interesting day was rounded off with a barbecue evening.
