New FOEN project started: In the project "Human impacts on the community composition of Swiss rivers", funded by the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN), we investigate how the communities of macroinvertebrates and fish are influenced by pollution from agriculture and urban sources, hydromorphological and hydrological alterations, and other environmental factors. New EU-Project AQUACROSS: Funded by Europe’s Horizon 2020 research programme, AQUACROSS seeks to advance knowledge and application of ecosystem-based management (EBM) for aquatic ecosystems. Eawag will contribute to this project by a case study on invertebrate and fish communities in Switzerland and by methodological contributions to case studies by other partners. Read more
