About Me

Earth observation satellites provide fascinating insights into the state of our environment. The data they collect on a daily basis provides new insights, especially for dynamic ecosystems such as lakes. With my research group, I am responsible for methodological developments, reference measurements and the interdisciplinary co-operation that the interpretation of Earth observation data requires.

I am a geoscientist with extensive experience in remote sensing and satellite Earth observation of surface waters. After studying and writing my dissertation at the University of Zurich, I worked in the private sector for several years. I have been leading my research group at Eawag since 2018.
