Ebola prevention in Guinea-Bissau: Risks, Attitudes, Norms, Abilities, and Self-Regulation

Project description

The objective of this study is to gain information about the current situation with regard to the population’s knowledge about Ebola, its transmission risks, prevention and intentions to take action to two Ebola prevention behaviours (not to touch sick people who might be suffering from Ebola anymore and report the suspected case to a treatment centre). The relevant socio-psychological factors of behaviour intentions related to the prevention of an Ebola outbreak and hand washing with soap in a representative sample of the populations in Guinea-Bissau (GNB) will be revealed by the study.
