Department Sanitation, Water and Solid Waste for Development

Tools & Frameworks

Planners and decision-makers require robust tools and frameworks to navigate the complex, multidisciplinary sanitation challenges. SESP develops and tests tools to support local governments and communities in successful sanitation planning and in designing effective strategies. Key outputs include decision-support tools for strategic and integrated sanitation planning for development, emergencies and institutional settings. These help identifying optimal solutions based on local contexts and priorities to improve public health and ensure equitable access to sanitation services.
