Utox members enjoy an exciting week at SETAC Europe in Seville

May 31, 2024 | Marissa Kosnik

Utox members enjoyed a sunny week in Seville at the SETAC Europe meeting!

This year’s conference topic was Science-Based Solutions in Times of Crisis: Integrating Science and Policy for Environmental Challenges, and Utox took full advantage of the conference program. Utox members organized sessions on new approach methodologies and machine learning, and participated in a panel on The European Green Deal. Utox members also gave talks on fish species sensitivity differences in biotransformation of chemicals and the fish invitrome, organized a poster corner, and had posters covering diverse topics from chemical impacts on genetic diversity to potential changes in periphyton communities exposed to tire tread contamination. Utox members also enjoyed the beautiful Seville weather and took the opportunity to see sites like the Plaza de España and enjoy tapas. Looking forward to another successful SETAC meeting next year in Vienna!
