About Me

I am an enthusiastic postdoctoral researcher with a background in biomedical sciences (MSc) and in bacterial and viral microbiology (Ph.D). My current work at Eawag focuses on the field of wastewater-based epidemiology, particularly concerning respiratory viruses.

My research interest lies in investigating the fate of viral RNA during in-sewer transport. Understanding the mechanisms that lead to the degradation or loss of viral RNA signals is essential for improving the accuracy of wastewater surveillance, and this will enable us to provide more precise and timely information to inform public health decisions and protect the population.
