About Me

I am a young, energetic researcher with a background in geology from the University of Lausanne and a specialization in mineralogy and geochemistry from ETH Zurich. I focus on organic geochemistry, particularly in reconstructing past climate changes using sediment records from aquatic basins. I apply a multi-proxy approach, integrating organic proxies like lipid biomarkers with inorganic proxies like grain size analysis and X-ray fluorescence (XRF). My work also involves studying the water column and seasonal variability to understand modern environments better. Additionally, I examine the impact of human activities on natural ecosystems, exploring how these influences are recorded in sediments over time. I value clear communication and multilingualism, recognizing their role in fostering collaboration across scientific disciplines and building bridges between different scientific communities and the public, making science accessible and impactful.
