Über mich

I am a doctoral student in the Pathogen Evolution research group, led by Dr. Barbora Trubenová at the Department Aquatic Ecology (Eco). I focus on developing mathematical models to study pathogen evolution, with a particular emphasis on the evolution of drug resistance. My research aims to explore how pathogens adapt to antimicrobial treatment over time and the dynamics of resistance evolution, using theoretical, computational, and experimental approaches. This builds on my background in environmental sciences, where I completed my bachelor’s thesis investigating antibiotic resistance evolution in biofilms, and my master's degree in biotechnology, which included a thesis on context-dependent transcriptome perturbation with the CRISPR-Cas13d system.
